Rules
  1. The HRBTS Homebrewer of the Year competition (HRBTS Cup) will run from January until December.
  2. The Brewer who accumulates the most points for the year will be awarded the renowned HRBTS Cup! There is also a 2nd and 3rd place finish for the year.
  3. Members will accrue points through entries placing in the "Beer of the Month" Competition (January-December) (BOTM) on the following basis:

                                                   3 points for 1st place

                                                   2 points for 2nd place

                                                   1 point for 3rd place

  4. There is a two (2) entry limit per month per brewer.
  5. Points will be awarded for brewers contributing the equivalent of five (5)gallons of beer to the club summer picnic for a value of three (3) points maximum.
  6. Monthly entries shall consist of two (2) 10-14 ounce bottles, or one (1) 20-24 ounce bottle of brew. The use of brown glass bottles without any marking/imprints is encouraged.
  7. During AHA Club-Only Contest Months (as shown on the BOTM schedule), the 1st place HRBTS BOTM entry is encouraged to be submitted to the AHA Club-Only contest. HRBTS will reimburse the brewer for the cost of shipment and the entry fee (standard 5 day truck transport only authorized). It is the responsibility of the brewer to ship and prepare the entry and to ensure that all AHA contest guidelines are followed.
  8. Each entry shall have affixed a bottle ID label.
  9. Recipes that place (1st, 2nd, and 3rd) for the BOTM will be included on the HRB&TS web site in the recipe link. Ownership of the recipe resides with the original brewer.
  10. Award of the HRB&TS Homebrewer of the Year shall be at the December General meeting.
  11. The HRBTS President shall be final arbiter of all disputes.
